Strobing Makeup Tutorial + Tips For Oily & Combo Skin// Rebecca Shores MUA

Healthy Skin Tip: Lavender essential oil is a powerful tool in the fight against acne. It can be applied neat to the skin, meaning it does not have to be diluted with a carrier oil, although you can mix it with an oil like coconut, jojoba, or olive. Lavender is a very strong anti-bacterial and it helps to relieve pain. It also speeds up the healing process.

  1. I think I’m gonna keep up with contoring, because I’m really pale and this gives my face a slight tan and dimension, otherwise I would look like living corpse 😄

  2. This is such a gorgeous dewy look. I’ve been “strobing” quite a bit lately, it’s so nice for summer 🙂

  3. THIS IS SO GORGEOUS! I think I need that liquid shimmering skin perfector now.. dammit… so incredibly gorgeous. This is probably my favorite look I have ever seen on you. So so so stunning

  4. I’m not sure how I feel about strobing as a whole, since I haven’t tried it, but it REALLY works for you!

  5. This looks gorgeous on your skin! You have really even skin and small pores, so highlighter works awesome on you. I unfortunately have neither of those, so I’m being very careful where I add highlighter. I probably should skip it altogether, bit I can’t seem to 😉

  6. I feel like strobing should just be called mermaid skin because it just reminds me of wet and dewy looking skin. I love this idea for a series! I also can’t wait to see your thoughts on white bases…I’ve been using the manic panic dreamtone to mix into my foundations for so long now.

  7. I thought about doing a “Let’s try stobing” video and then I got scared of grossing people out because I’m the most oily person everrrr. D:
That being said, I haven’t been able to resist highlighting a lot lately now and you pull this off beautifully. <3

  8. I also have combo skin so I have to be pretty careful on my forehead, risking looking greasy. LOVE your look– your glow is fab!
