Skincare And Makeup For Oily Skin

Healthy Skin Tip: Eat a healthy diet. Diet affects the skin in many ways and can be responsible for the appearance of acne. Fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean meats and any foods high in vitamin C will facilitate clear, young-looking, radiant skin. Diets high in fat and carbohydrates are thought to do just the opposite.
Hey guys.

I hope you’ve all had a wonderful weekend. I’ve been in Frome in Somerset with the boys staying with my in-laws and it’s been delightful. They’ve recently moved back to the UK having spent the last 8 years in the wilds of Northern Kenya and I cant tell you how great it’s been to have a few days out of London being looked after! I love London but I find there’s something so refreshing, almost healing about the countryside…And Bear is besotted with the cows at the end of the garden-I posted a very sweet pic on my Instagram and a few cute Snaps (my Username is mrshancmartin) I also got to drive myself to Bath (man alive country roads are terrifying!! I’m so out of practice zooming along narrow, winding country lanes) and spend a precious hour with my friend Amelia and her beautiful newborn, Frankie…he’s perfect and tiny and I could have cuddled him all day!

Anyway, this week I wanted to respond to some requests I’ve had from you guys and show you a simple cleansing, skincare and makeup routine for oily skin.

In this video I used:

  1. Just watched Bobbi on Facebook demonstrate the new retouching face wand. Looks like a quick foundation alternative from how she describes it. Will you give us your tutorial on this product soon? Thanks! xx

  2. Despite having normal to dry skin I still loved this video, always nice to get more tips! Could you please consider recreating the makeup look you did on your beautiful bride recently with the dark eyes using the golden bronze long wear cream shadow stick? The whole look was absolutely stunning! Thank you in advance. X

  3. How right you are (as always :))) !! my skin has a tendency on the oily side in the deeper layers, while quite dry on the surface, and the soothing cleansing oil plus my Bobbi’s cream is the ONE and the ONLY daily routine that can tame it :))) thank you for another great demo, always looking forward for your videos on a Sunday! Xoxo

  4. Is the sunset highlighter collection limited edition? Could you do a quick swatch of the three? 🙁 i want one but dont know which to get

  5. Awesome Hannah. I am drier in the winter and oily in the summer, so this is more my speed in the summer months, especially living in New England. Here it is all humidity all the time; the heat index was 110 on Friday 😁, so this makeup is perfect.

  6. Hi Hannah! How do you choose which shade is right for your undereye circles? Please help! Im not sure which to get!

  7. Oh so helpful! Thanks for the tips :). Doesn’t the longwear foundation contain lavender oil though? I think it used to at some point, which was the reason why I stopped it (lavender irritates my skin) but if that’s not the case anymore I should go back to it asap :))

  8. Hi Hannah! Thank you for this, it was very interesting. I wonder if you could do one for dry-normal skin as well? xoxo 🙂

  9. Great video Hannah,I have dry skin but still a pleasure to watch ❤️I was looking at the BB site and I came across at the instant confidence stick,is this really works?and how you use it ?Would you recommend it?

  10. Thank you for this video. I always get a bit of shine later in the day on my nose and forehead. The instant confidence stick is perfect. I keep it in my bag and touch up when needed. Works perfect. Thanks for the recommendation.

  11. Love watching your videos, Hannah. They’re always educational and you give us good tips on how to use certain products and most of all, why we should use them (or avoid them). Can’t wait for the new ones!

  12. Hi Hannah, love your videos! I’m currently pregnant (due in January) and was thinking of having a Bobbi Brown lesson to see how I can do quick skincare and make up when baby is here so I look half human! Could you suggest which was be best? Xxx

  13. Hi Hannah!
Thank you very much for uploading this video for oily skin. It was much needed. Further to your recommendation, I even ended up picking the BB Cream today. Take Care xo

  14. Hannah, I will try that tip with wiping the eyelid first. My eyelids are so oily. I use a primer and the long wear gel liner smudges on me (eyes are a bit hooded as well). Even 2 hours after application. I make a really fine line. I recently got the ultra precise liner brush, I do love that brush and it has a cap too.

  15. Thank you! I learned so much from this. Oily skin is such a huge concern with a lot of women, especially women of color. So THANK YOU!!!!!!

  16. What do you recommend skincare options for under the Bobbi brown stick foundation for dry skin? I like to use an SPF! x

  17. Thanks for all the wonderful tips! New subscriber here! Have a great day! Xoxoxo

  18. Even tho I’m old as dirt, I still get oily skin (Can you say “Hot flashes”?!?😬). I can’t wait to try the BB Cream. And I have Instant Confidence, and boy, is it ever!!! Great tips, Hannah!

  19. Hi Hannah,
My skin has a lot of pores; oily on the forehead and dry around the nose.
Right now I only use a day cream & a primer bit when I put my foundation it, it can get a little bit too visuable around the nose caused by the pores. What kind of skin care do I need? What would you suggest?

  20. Love this video…THEE most informative one I have ever watched on youtube about oily skin. I have been a BB obessive customer for years….I live in the US and wish I could be your customer in the UJK! 🙂

  21. I had no idea that i could use the pore perfecting cream over make up during the day instead of using powder to touch up the t zone area shiny skin, i’ve tried this and it’s amazing! thanks for the tip!
