How To: Prime & Set Makeup For Oily & Combination Skin | Sephora

Healthy Skin Tip: Try to keep stress levels under control to aid in healthy skin. People that are subjected to constant, high levels of stress will generally have more incidents of acne breakouts and sensitive skin irritations than those that don't due to the chemical imbalances stress can create within the body.
Sephora PRO Artist, David, shows us how to prime and set makeup on oily skin and combination skin types! Follow along to hear his tips and tricks.

  1. Do you spray with the setting spray after powder before you use other powder products such as blush or bronzer? Or would you do all of your powder products first and then use the setting spray?

  2. Definitely want to try the Too Faced setting spray! Thanks for the recommendations. I’ve always had dry skin but I’m combo lately, so this was very helpful! 😘

  3. On my Bucket list: get my makeup done by David or should I say, get the teaching and demo done by David ☺️👌🏼

  4. could you please talk about combining primers? my tzone is an oil slick but i also have dry patches and fine lines 😞 please help!

  5. David what am I doing wrong I love to use a subtle highlight (very light handed) and it seems to accentuate my fine lines below my eyes and pores? I have a normal to dry skin I serum, moisturise, use hangover primer and set my foundation with just enough translucent powder. This is driving me nuts lately as work in skincare industry and want to enjoy the glow.

  6. I don’t know if Sephora yet has talked about each make up brush individually what the purposes for how to use it how to get the most advantage of it (sephora brand of brushes) it would really be cool to know each purpose of each brush., for one ☝️ I don’t know 🤷‍♀️ all of them or the numbers, but I can honestly say that it would be very educational to me and of course other potential customers to get the know how on sephora brushes., also which ones are the most popular (the ones that sell most), I’m just interested/curious because I want to make my life easier when I apply makeup 💄 and take less time too do it also., I’m no makeup artist but I try my best with what I’ve learned from you tube sort of and thru trial and errors hehe 😂 ok 👌 so thanks for educating me on setting and priming ✅

  7. Hi David. I have a concern: any undereye concealers that don’t oxidize, or is there a way to stop that?
