Healthy Skin Tip: As tempting as it may be, do not pop pimples. By popping pimples, you are pushing infected material deeper into the skin which causes swelling, redness and possible scarring. Instead, you can mix 2 tablespoons of baking soda with a teaspoon of water at night and apply it to the pimple.
Tips for oily skin and how to keep makeup matte for longer:
-Don’t use harsh products, this will just dry out your skin and make it even more oily.
-Drugstore make-up may not be for you – Estee Lauder is my ultimate foundation, the only one I’ve tried that gives me a lasting matte finish.
-Make sure you’re well moisturised so your skin doesn’t produce even more oil.
-A loose finishing powder for a top up during the day is almost essential – don’t need with becca primer – I don’t leave the house without mine ever!
-Watch your diet, really oily foods = oily skin
I’ve struggled with oily skin for years! So when people recommended the Becca ever-matte poreless priming perfector, I never took them on. Most products did not work for me nor did youtube hacks – absolutely nothing. I stopped wearing make up for a while because I was so over looking like a sludgy cake at the end of the day.
I bought the small tube just to test it out – but we are most definitely repurchasing the bigger tub! Here’s a link to everything I used.
