10 TIPS TO CLEAR ACNE! Easy, Simple & Cheap! (Acne Prone/oily Skin)

Healthy Skin Tip: Allowing yourself to sweat can flush toxins from your skin. While sweat is often thought of as a culprit for acne breakouts, in reality, it is the failure to cleanse after sweating that is the problem. The act of sweating is actually beneficial to your skin, as it allows your body to flush out toxins. Just make sure to cleanse thoroughly after your workout or sauna session.

My breakfast doesn’t taste very good… err, I mean, HI! HELLO! Welcome to another video all about YOUR skin!

These tips are things that I have learnt about over the years to help get, and support, clear skin. They are not drastic, expensive measures, and they may not be for everyone, but these things have either helped me, and/or my friends and family. If you suffer from severe or cystic acne, then these tips can help support your recovery while you use medication or a system/program to clear your skin.

If you would like me to talk about more things that can help clear your skin, like certain medications or programs, then leave me a comment below 🙂

★ A bit about me! ★

I’m an Australian currently living in Japan, and loving it! My channel has loads of DIY videos relating to acne and acne scarring, because that is something I have suffered with for many years (and continue to suffer with). I decided to turn my negatives into positives, and share what I’d learned about this skin condition with all of you. So if you’re new to my channel and wondering why there’s so many videos about skin care, that’s why!

These days however, my focus has changed. I was accepted to the JET Programme in 2014, and my new life chapter began! I’m currently living in a semi-rural prefecture, as an ALT at 3 senior high schools. I drive a lot, go out a lot, and enjoy living my life in gorgeous Japan. I’m now kind of a J-Vlogger, showing you my everyday life in my weekly vlogs. But I also want to keep the essence of my original channel purpose, too, so that’s why there are additional weekly videos about skin care, beauty and life in Japan. Hope this clears some things up, and gives all you cutie newbies some info about me too! Thanks for tuning in, and please feel free to message me any time on my various social links. Cheers!

  1. Hmmmm. Did you suggest using cetaphil?? It has parabens in it which has been linked to breast cancer. Not a good idea ..

  2. I don’t know 😮 I just know it is a very gentle cleanser that is recommended to people with acne. If people wish to use completely natural products, then I’m all for it! 🙂

  3. Thank you very much for these helpful tips !!!:) and by the way I really did not know that the pillow case thing and sheets and towel I’ll be on that look out all thanks to you !!:)

  4. Thank u, I use my cleanser a lot, almost every night, and it just makes my pimples worst, thank u

  5. I recommend loose leaf white tea! I has tons more anti oxidants then green tea and since it’s loose leaf it not dosed in chemicals and has a lot more benefits! where as tea bags loose almost all the health benefits since they are exposed to air within a week. I make 4 huge jugs of tea from 3 tsp of leaves. I drink three cups a day when i break out and by the next day my breakout has stopped and it’s already started to heal.

  6. Aww, maybe it is a bit too harsh? Use a super gentle one that does not foam. You could even try finding one that is all natural. Use really gentle movements while applying it.

  7. That’s amazing o_o I’m going to have to look more into using tea! I love green tea, but I only use tea bags. Thanks for this info! 🙂

  8. Is it bad that I have read all your replies to the comments in your voice? XD

Thank you so much for the information. I have been having LOTS of acne issues recently due to stress, too harsh face wash, and working at a computer more than usual. Got any tips for upcoming brides? (Think 2 1/2 months!) I have a really BAD BAD BAD habit of picking at my face when I do have pimples. Mine seem to get really bad and all around my mouth and chin area I have lots of scars. How can I lessen their look?

  9. Haha! Oh no, that’s great! I do the same thing when I am reading things from people I watch, too! XD

Congrats on your upcoming wedding! I’m sure it will be a beautiful day 🙂 Now onto the problemo, I think that recognising that you do pick is really important, because often it’s an almost unconscious act. You need to tell yourself, verbally and in your head, to stop picking. Physically look at yourself and your hands and tell yourself why you need to stop. I’ll continue this in another post…

  10. So every time you go to pick, tell yourself no! Remind yourself why you need to stop. The thing is, you can use home treatments that might fade the scarring, but if you’re always picking you will always have new scars to deal with. You need to be forceful with yourself and break that cycle. Be conscious and aware. You can then use some at-home treatments like lemon and baking soda to help fade the scars. I can’t tell you don’t stress, because weddings are stressful! But be kind to yourself 🙂 x

  11. Thank you for the video. And for those who want to lose weight you can do baby steps like inn the video. switch White bread to wheat. Instead of a brownie make it a Plum. Instead of the Coke you can go to Diet coke then to water. Instead of Ice-cream ith chocolate make it ice-cream With Strawberries. Its a small work but once you start to figure out youo can do the switching sooner or later you are going to be on a Full on diet ((:

  12. Sometimes people say that ‘it gets worse before it gets better’, like you body extracts the toxins and acne vigorously before it can start healing and becoming better. This is up for debate, but it could be what’s happening to you. Stick with what you’re doing, it can take up to 2 months for the body to re-adjust and get used to new routines, especially food and exercise. You are definitely doing the right thing! 🙂

  13. Hey guys! Thanks for taking the time to check out my little video.
